What is Anime Revolution?

Anime Revolution is a brand new three-day convention located in Vancouver, Canada. We cater to a wide range of activities, exhibits, panels, and performances. These include art, animation, comics, costuming, cultural displays, dance, gaming, musical performances, and more. Our goal is to provide people of all ages with entertainment, education, and cultural exchange.

Is it okay to bring my kids to Anime Revolution?
Anime Revolution is a family friendly event so people of all ages are welcome to attend!

What guests will be attending Anime Revolution?

Volunteering at Anime Revolution

What is the eligible age to volunteer for Anime Revolution?
You must be 16 years of age by the day of the convention to volunteer.

If I’m volunteering and I’m under 18, do I need a Parental Permission Form?
Yes, please see Admission Age Requirements FAQ section for the consent form link.

If I volunteer, is admission free?
All volunteers must work 16 hours at the convention to be eligible for free admission.

Admission Age Requirements FAQ

What is the minimum age to attend Anime Revolution without a Parent and/or Parent Consent?
The minimum age is 16 years old. If you are currently 15, and will be turning 16 at the time of the convention then a Parental Consent form is not needed.

At what ages is Parental Supervision required?

• Those under 12 must have a parent and/or guardian with them at all times.
• Those whom are 13 – 15 years of age must have their parental consent form completed and given to us during badge pickup.

Please note that both parent and guardian must sign the Parental Consent form if the parent is not attending the convention.

Does my 5 (or under) year old get free admission?

Yes, children 5 years and under have free admission.

Who can attend 18+ Panels?
Those with their adults pass/wristbands, as well as official government issued ID will be allowed into these panels

What is included in the VIP Package?

• Specially designed VIP bag;
• Priority line access;
• Guest “Meet and Greet” (a closed door session with light snacks and refreshments);
• Special reserved seating;
• Exclusively designed AR Badge;
• Discounts from vendors.

Pass Pick-Up

When can I pick up my pass?
Thu, August 15th 2013: 4pm – 7pm (early pickup)
Fri, August 16th 2013: 9am – 6pm
Sat, August 17th 2013: 9am – 6pm
Sun, August 18th 2013: 9am – 1pm

Can I buy a pass on Thursday, August 16?
Yes, you can buy a pass on Thursday.

Can I pick up a pass on behalf of a friend/family member?
No, you can only pick up your own pass; however, if you hold an account with Anime Revolution, you may pick up all the passes that are registered under your account. The only exception to this is if you’re the parent or legal guardian and you’re picking up on behalf of your children for the Child Pass.

Do I need Photo ID to pick up my Pass?
Yes, you must present official photo ID to pick up your pass. This can include BCID, Drivers License… etc. If you live outside Canada, please be prepared to present your country’s own official photo ID. Go-Cards and other school identification must have a clear photo of your person and must be provided in conjunction with a Care Card or a legible photocopy of your birth certificate (both pieces of ID must match in name). Bus passes are not eligible for pass pick up.

What qualifies as an at-con identification and what is it for?
At-con identification is any sort of government issued ID or school identification used in conjunction with your Care Card or a a legible copy of your birth certificate (both pieces of ID must match in name). This identification is used for our minor curfew and admission for 18+ panels. All attendees may also be subjected to random badge checks to minimize the use of stolen/lost/switched badges.

If I lost my badge, what should I do?
You can check the Lost and Found located by the Info Booth first before proceeding to the registration booths to have your badge replaced. Please note that all passes is treated like cash and all replacements will be paid in full price.

Refund/Return Policy

Do you have a refund policy?
Unfortunately, Anime Revolution does not accept refunds. For more information, please read our  Terms and Conditions (PDF).

If my pass is taken away and my name is on file, can I return to AR the next year?
This will depend on the severity of your violations. The chairpersons at Anime Revolution will consider your request to clear your name after a thorough investigation of the situation.

Using the Online Form

Do I have to provide my full name on the registration form?
Yes, we need to confirm your identity with your government issued photo ID during the Pass Pick-up. You will be able to put your nickname on your pass.

If you do not put your legal name on your registration form, please notify Brett (brett.miller@animerevolution.ca) Assistant Director of Sales to have it changed. Otherwise, your application will not be accepted.

I’m buying a pass for a friend, but I don’t know their address/contact information. Can I leave some columns blank?

Passes bought for friends and family can be made under your account and do not require the full contact information for those pass holders. However, we do require their full legal name, birthdate, and email address.

Safety, Security and Privacy

Is it safe using the online form? Is my information secured?
We are always concerned about the privacy and safety of our attendees and utilize the best in industry standard to ensure that the information that you submit is safe.
Anime Revolution does not keep records of any credit card or personal banking information. All online payments processed through Paypal are subject to their terms and conditions.
