Now what, am I like registered for in-person auditions just like that?
Am I waiting for something back?

There has been an update! There are no longer online applications, the auditions will be on August 16th 2012 :)

I would would quote the new rules, but it's really long lol
Luckily it's on the first post of the first page! :D

... Dude.
I didn't send an audio audition, just the info from the first post, which I read.
Anyway.

Can anyone tell me whether or not there's a confirmation email I should be waiting for?
Or is sending my info all I need to do until August audition time arrives?

Hey everyone!

I'm so sorry for my absence on these forums. I'm going to try and keep up with everything better now.

I have been busy as I've been promoted to Director of Programming overall, so please bear with me.

There will be confirmation e-mails sent out to you over the next couple of days if you have signed up. I'll post again here once they are done and if you haven't received one by that time, then I may not have received it, but then you can just let me know here.

I'm excited to see everyone perform at the Live Auditions which will be happening Thursday August 16th, 2012 at the VCEC during the pre-reg pick up night. The actual rounds of course will begin on Friday with the 12 contestants chosen from those who audition on Thursday.

Keep checking back here for updates or if you have any questions, either myself or Hitomi (Grace, our head judge) will do our best to answer them for you!

Thank you once again for your patience, and with your interest in Anime Revolution Idol 2012~

Sorry, I misunderstood since you wrote you sent songs.

I asked Jeremy and he said he will get back to everyone soon!
He will be posting further details here soon. (actually a few seconds before me)

No worries dude, I'm sorry for being a douche about it.

Take it easy, Jeremy, we all want you to be well and not work too hard.
You're doing a kick ass job, man.

Hi Lutz! No worries! Everything's great! Thank you for the vote of confidence!

To everyone,

I have sent out the confirmation e-mails to everyone who I've gotten e-mail submissions from thus far, so please check to make sure you got it!

Also, I've started a new thread that I will be posting the song choices already spoken for in. That way, we can avoid songs being chosen more than once (hopefully anyways lol.)

You can view it here: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=752

But please, I ask for simplicity sake that no one post replies in that thread, just so we can keep things nice and simple there, and I'll regularily update as new people submit their songs for the contest! All discussion should continue in this thread here.

Thanks everyone for bearing with me! Like I said before, I'll try to make sure I post regularily here from now on and keep everyone up to date!

6 MONTHS TO GO!! CAN'T WAIT!!!

Don't Say Lazy was only sung by Mio's seiyuu. No one else was in that song. = =

BUT, YES, PONPONPON AND TWO BREATHS WALKING. <3

If we wanted to be pedantic about the artist of Don't Say Lazy, then I would say that "K-ON cast" is correct since I don't think they had named themselves "Houkago Tea Time" yet. It's certainly sung by Mio's seiyuu, but the instrumentals are 'performed' by the other K-ON members. This is similar to bands; saying Hitohira no Hanabira (Bleach ED 17) is by Aimi is incorrect as it's a piece by the band Stereopony.

/end annoying schpiel about credits.

Everyone, please keep in mind that there is a category in the marking scheme for song choices. I can't speak for other judges, but I would want to hear you perform a song that shows you (voice in general) off. Skimming through the already-taken songs, I have to say that some of them are wonderful to listen to, but maybe not to perform. But this isn't to say that you'll get a low mark automatically as it still depends on how the song is presented.
