It's alright for the audience to listen to demos, so long as the auditionees consent to it. HOWEVER, protocal requires the demos to be released AFTER the winners have been announced. ALSO, the audience is EXPECTED to NOT COMPLAIN. After all, it's a judges choice. This happened last year during AE Idol, when a previous contestant didn't make it past the preliminaries. He made a huge fuss on the forum about how the judges were playing favourites and that he should become a judge himself to keep the competition "in line". Me and my fellow singers all retaliated - those who made it and those who didn't past the preliminary round - against him, saying that what he was saying was FAR more unfair than what he was claiming.
My point being: This ain't anything serious. So, don't take it seriously. That's how it goes. >w<b
Oh, also, I'm getting ready to send in my audition. First time singing Japanese in a few months... going to be a bit out of practice, so I'm going to need to practice quite a bit before I send stuff in. >w<bb

I'll ask that the contestants specify whether or not they are alright with having their auditions made available to the general public to listen to. The live auditions will be open to anyone to attend anyways, as long as they are quiet and respectful so the judges can hear the contestants singing of course lol.
In any case, I'll very likely put together a .zip file for download at the end of the online auditions filled with the songs of only those who say it's alright to put them up.
Does this sound fair?
I'm looking forward to the start of October and listening to everyone's auditions over the next 7 months as they come in!
