its ok Semi I can't either but I would join if I didn't have to organize just to let people know this is for fun =) Then again there will be an award to the best singer =D

to make this less complicated I was thinking we should have a list of selected songs for competition, that way we will make sure the songs are on file and ready to go. The list will be a combination of audience selections and vocal challenging songs. For non competition singing please let us know by posting the songs you would like to sing to and we will put the most popular songs into the list.

Ostensibly we would have the contestants voice their selection a little bit in advance, so we can try to find an instrumental version of their song. I don't know if last year's competition was strictly relegated to anime songs though. I distinctly remember getting Rick Rolled.

Recall the link I posted with a girl in red singing Anata dake mitsumeteru? Well I've just got in contact with her and she may do a guest appearance either to join in on the contest or possibly perform at AR!!!! Here is the link once again.

Well, if that's the case, and we can't really guarantee that every person cosplaying will actually get they're desired song, it's probably better to just choose the songs that are quite popular either this year, or next year.

if all the people who are willing to sing request their songs now, we can probably manage something.

I'd like to note that this is anime karaoke and not anime idol right? in previous years (at AE) it was just a room open at night (when all the main events r done) where people just sang from a collection of songs the guy had in his collection (including non-anime songs). it was open mic karaoke. u just form a line, pick ur song and waited for it to come up. no planning needed. just someone who had the collection of songs and can work the equipment.
