I used to sleep on the train/bus all the time (having gone to school in Van, taking transit from Delta). All I did was set an alarm on my iPod for the amount of time until my stop - since I'd be listening to music anyways - and it would wake me up before my stop. It could be a little off at times since traffic is always different... but I never missed my stop!
And if you're worried about people... Most people are courteous on the skytrain from my experiences so far P: Although I may or may not sleep with a styled wig. And that's just cos I always rest my head on the window >.> But I'm probably going with at least 2 other people for AR, so I'm not at all concerned =3
