What is this strange event you may ask?
Well, it could be defined as many things actually, and 'normal' is definitely not one of them lol.
The full name is actually "Pure Insanity Enterprises Presents: The "Seriously Ridiculous Dub-Bashing Palooza of Pure Insanity" Show"
My name is Jeremy and I'm the president of the Kamloops Anime Club and, of course, the Director of Programming for AR!
Last year, I won Otafest Idol 2011 performing "Last Angel," by Hamasaki Ayumi (you can see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxU0i3oDM8I")
Last year, I spoke to the programming directors of Otafest and presented the idea of a new show, and they approved! It was called "Animé-d in Japan presents: "Pure Insanity." The show was fun to perform, and while there were some technical difficulties, I think it was rather successful. This year, we'd like to bring it back, but with a new title, and we've adopted the name "Pure Insanity" to pull it off...
That said, I, along with 4 members of the club, are getting together, planning to bring back a few of our skits from the past at Anime Evolution, as well as a brand new one for Anime Revolution this year. These will be interwoven with various song and dance numbers, mainly parodies of my own creation, and a few original songs sung by me with vocal accompaniment from fellow club member Megan.
We will have costume changes, some naughty words, and song styles emulating the likes of Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Cheryl Cole, and Beyoncé, just to name a few.
My hope is that everyone will enjoy themselves, and this variety show will be a great addition to the roster of events this year...
Thank you and we are so excited and looking forward to performing for you if everything is approved!
