1) Is it alright if I upload the video to youtube and send you the link, cuz I have no clue what dropbox or ftp is...

2) does it have to be anime clips? cuz I am making a PMV (Pony Music Video. Yay for My Little Pony <3) at the moment and I just wanted to know if that would be alright.

1) No, but if you email amv@animerevolution.ca, someone will be happy to walk you through the process.

2) It does not necessarily have to be anime clips. Since game clips are fine, I would say that MLP is fine too. Though at this point, something anime related would be preferred. It could be something vague like a song, or a parody scene, etc.

The deadline was 10th August and it was my fault for not replying sooner. So... if you would like to submit an entry anyway, send an email to amv@animerevolution.ca and we'll work something out.

I couldn't stay to watch all the AMVs. Will there be a list available? I would still like to see them all.

It depends on whether we can get permissions from the AMV owners to upload them onto our AR youtube channel..

Well, just an official amv list with editor amv name would be enough to satisfy a lot of curiosity.

While im at it, not to bash anyone, amv contest usually have clear statement in the rules that says that the convention has the rights to use the received amv to promote the convention and whatever what they want WITHOUT the permission of the creator. So don't send it your master amv copy if you can't take this or at the very least, contact a person in charge if you really want one of your amv removed from a contest. I

Also, in amv contest in general, it is very rare that the staff is ready to make extra work after the convention or do not love amv enough for extra upload and more details...but next year, they might consider it to make something a bit more fun and spicy for contestants.

@generalguyamv: Not sure if you missed it, but, doesn't the first (contest information) post basically say that:
By submitting your video(s), you agree to let us play, copy, and use it to promote the event.
Requests for removal will be put into consideration and on a case by case basis.

The AMV contest list ("AMV Title + Studio/Creator") is such a basic thing that it should of been on the voting pamphlets (like most previous years), let alone posted on sites like animemusicvideos.org and forums like here with winners and stats. 95%+ of them can be found online anyway with just the title, so, re-uploading them on a youtube list isn't really needed unless you really want to.

I am also curious if one of my videos were shown. Did anyone see a ReBoot music video? I had submitted two of them.

I think it's perfecly fine (as one of the editors) to post a simple list of videos shown. I get the impression a list of winners will be posted next week, seems like it's still being worked on, which is OK by me. What bugged me was all the videos being uploaded w/out permission and personal info on it as well, but that's been addressed, taken care of and apologized for. No big.

They sent a mail to those that had their amv shown at least one week before the contest.

While im at it, off topic but did you send your amv at Otakuthon Amv contest?

@NvrBst: did not searched or looked actually^^

Yes, I did but only one video and I know that it wasn't shown. While I was watching some of the AMVs, they had a list printed out of all the entries and I took one with me. My video isn't on the list so I never bothered attending at AMV awards the next day.
