I understand Japanese but I can't speak it. I'm also like this with Filipino!

I don't like watching Raws when I know that they will have a lot of dialogue which is made up about the world. For example, fma had a lot of talk about homuncs, alchemy, philosopher stone, etc etc.

That stuff is hard to follow when your trying to catch the sentence structure. but lately i've been getting better, I've been watching Bebop and R.O.D raw.

Oh, I only watch Studio Ghibli films, Pokemon Best Wishes, Usagi Drops, and Japanese Variety television shows (Cartoon Kat-tun, Johnny Juniors) in raw lol I should've mentioned that. If I find that an anime is easy to follow, like Usagi Drops, I'll follow that in raw too.

You're right; other animes are harder to follow, not because of their sentence structure but because they use a lot of slang, like One Piece. I also try to stay away from animes that talk in other dialects (like kansai or osaka-ben)

I also particularly love watching raws when an anime character actually speaks the polite form. It's awesome to actually listen to it and think Hey! I learned this at school!

...If only they had subtitles in Japanese for raws... even if it's redundant but c'mon, we all miss phrases sometimes.... right?

What I would like to see... What I would like to see....

That one Hanasaku Iroha episode that made me want to slap someone OHANA.
Kamisama no Memochou. It's about (surprisingly smart) NEETs. Why not.
Soul Eater. We need the LAWLs going.
Seitokai Yakuindom-- Wait. Is this supposed to be for all ages?
MM! Again, we need the LAWLs.
Gankutsuou, for the more older and mature people. (Read: NOVEL: The Count of Monte Cristo. It's a classic)
Same with MONSTER and Shigurui.

And just putting this out there but... HTML coding (like strike-through) doesn't work? I sad. D:

That brings up something interesting...should we have more dubs than subs?

I agree with you Faboo but as the non sub regulars have pointed out (to me). "I don't want to read something when the art is so pretty"
