The problem with monopoly is that it takes so long to complete and if your going to a anime convention you probably would want to go to some of the panels or events.

If you need DM's or a supply of tabletop games, try asking the UBC Wargamers club. They've got plenty of willing members and a huge board game library.

I think Yu-Gi-Oh! is a staple table-top game at an event such as this one, as it's based from an anime, and it's the most well-known TCG at the moment.

How about this proposal. Whoever wants this to happen, post their name and the game they will bring to play.

I'm up for Magic. Munchkin is hilariously fun. Would like to try Munchkin Quest also.

Given the guest list, anyone thinking of running a Sailor Moon RPG adventure?

Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic is practically a must for tabletop gaming! I'm ready to bring my deck for some Du-du-duel!

Hey Guys,

Michael here.

It is confirmed we will be having both a Magic The Gathering Tournament as well as a Yugioh tournament on several of the days for the AR convention. I will post details about the MTG tournament at a later date because details are still be finalized.

The Yugioh tournament will be handled by the SFU Surrey Trading Card Games Club. They will be hosting two tournaments : a single elimination format, and a fun tournament dubbed Battle Royale.
Right now, the single elimination format will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 from 11:00AM to 3:30PM in the games room. The Battle Royale will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2012 from 11:00AM to 3:30PM in the games room as well. Details for both will be posted by the club president at a later date.
