Okay, so I may agree with twtmc on many points because half of what he said were pretty much my first impression of her when I first found her cosplays. (I prefer to have androgynous people cosplaying more, but then again, who am I to tell people what to like. Also, I'm a biased person so you can just pretty much ignore this bracketed part.) And especially at the "body appeal" too, but one must take note that who we invite aren't solely based on who we want, but more on who pending or interested soon-to-be attendees wants. If inviting her is one way to capture the interests of the many people out there who don't know about this con yet and bring up our reputation along with "fame", of course we'll take the advantage and use it-- And the more variety, the better, right?
I mean, I'm sure we could try contacting the pro cosplayers such as Yuegene, Touya Hibiki, and Ringo Mitsuki for example, but the problem with that is that they may or may not be able to understand English (Yuegene can, but Touya, no) and that they live quite the distance (as in half a globe) away from us while Jessica here, is in our neighboring country. How is this an issue? Longer flights, unfamiliar places, longer preparations, etc.
Plus, the chance of actually having overseas, nonetheless famous people, accepting an invitation to some convention that's only in it's first year isn't really that favorable as we are only just an embryo compared to the older cons at this moment. Of course, in no way am I saying that our convention is small. I'm only stating that even though without having all, if not, majority of the guests being overseas/Asians/Japanese, we can still make this con quite on the successful side compared to many of the other cons out there.
I hope the bolded part cleared out any misunderstanding that it gave.
On a side note, to the many people out there wondering (... Many of my friends that asked me about this), we do have a budget for this grand project. Shocking, I know.
