Good mangas with art that turned you away at first

So, while browsing through mangas/manwhas/manhuas/comics/whateverfloatsyourboat, typically you come across stuff with art styles that really turns you away. However, sometimes you might give it a try... and find that the art is too distracting and drop it. XD And other times, you get sucked into the book, and the art grows on you til the point that you become used to it. That was Ares for me, it was a enjoyable manwha as soon as I got used to the art xD

Completely opinionated, a art style that you don't like, someone might love. What have you guys read that turned out better than your first opinion based on the art?

lol Dorohedoro! (it's not even that much of a turnoff really...just not typical lol)

At first i was like: D8
But then i was like: o:
And now im like: *O*

Now I find that some of the art styles I used to like just don't do it anymore lol....I don't know why ...a few years back I'd be like "SO PRETTY!" but now I'm like "so blinding! T_T" lol...maybe I've just gotten weird.

Yeah... But in all honesty, I still dropped it after a while. It just failed to interest me any longer... (I have horribly high standards)

AS A KING, AND AS A CONQUEROR I am absolutely delighted by military tactics, and interesting methods of battle.
HOWEVER, there nearly heretical Graphic Novel, known as Boku no Picoland Saga, simply broke the suspension of disbelieving in the following page



As strategically disadvantageous as it is to use a ship upon land is, it is even more strategically disadvantageous to carry those shits with men, who cannot flail their swords while carrying such a burden.
As a king and a conqueror, this appears to be a tactic employes by an autistic Ldd who should be burned to ashes. Only a fool could lose to such tactics.
HOWEVER I battled on through words, and vikings, and came to a peaceful farming Story, staring the young Kurt Cobain with a pony tail. It was the only saving grace.

That scene reminds me of a part in The Way of Kings where they carry these bridges, and they were saying how the whole team had to be in sync and all. Is that's physically possible? :'D Oh well, it's fiction(hopefully? Haha) so anything goes xD
