Before I even get this whole thing started, YES, THE ART IS BY REDJUICE... AS IN THE REDJUICE FROM DEVIANTART, AND THE COVER SONG IS MADE BY SUPERCELL (I'm sure all you Vocaloid fans knows this already, as I found out about GUILTY CROWN this way... Through Supercell's huge announcement on it before it got released). Oh, and just throwing this in, but Chelly sounds beautiful in 「My Dearest」 and 「Departure~あなたに送る愛の歌~」.
The (more awesome) songs thus far:
Spoiler:
Year 2029, the unidentified "Apocalypse Virus" spreads and plunges Japan into a state of emergency in a chaos known as the "Lost Christmas" incident. An international organization known as the GHQ intervenes with martial law and restores order to Japan at the cost of its independence.
Ten years later in 2039, Shu Ouma, a 17-year-old high school student who keeps to himself in school, meets Inori Yuzuriha, the lead singer for Egoist, while visiting one of his favorite places on his way home from school. Shu is a big fan of Inori, a singer who has taken the Internet world by storm. However, he also discovers the other side of her, which is that she is a member of "Undertakers", a resistance group that aims to liberate Japan from the GHQ. Shu starts taking part in the actions of "Undertaker" and the "king's mark" appears on his right hand after the Void Genome in his pocket was shot by a GHQ Endlave. This "mark" bestows on him the power to reach inside another person's body and extract and materialize a weapon from it. The anime tells the story of Shu's reluctant involvement with the Undertakers and the hardship involved in using his power.
..... Wish I said I got this lovely synopsis from the actual GUILTY CROWN website, but it's in Japanese... And there's FOUR WHOLE PARAGRAPHS in pure moonrunes with no official translations given, so I went and got it from Wiki. (Gave the thought of translating it, but yeah. Not typing up four whole paragraphs.)
Anyhow, YES, THIS ANIME IS A MUST WATCH, EVEN THOUGH IT TAKES LIKE, 12 EPISODES TO GET INTO THE PLOT AND HAS A HUGE RESEMBLANCE TO CODE GEASS FOR THE FIRST 6 EPISODES. But yeah. After the 12th episode, the plot thickens by over tenfolds. It's actually pretty amazing... And heartbreaking. I will add this to my "anime that made me bawl" list. Also, another awesome thing about this is that when a character other than Shu (for the most part anyways) pisses you off, they will get kicked or punched or slapped or get themselves served in one way or another very soon in the said episode.
AND GUILTY CROWN: LOST CHRISTMAS. OH GOD, LOST CHRISTMAS THAT GAME. It's for PC.

Spoiler:
PRE-ORDERS FOR THE GAME IS OUT. GET TO IT. I already got my copy ordered. And am currently ever so impatiently waiting for THE END OF MAY to come.
Well, that's all for my shameless advertising on this anime.
