FISHING!!!! me and my best friend just came back two weeks ago from a sturgeon fishing trip on the Fraser. Those leviathans gave a good fight!! Took fifteen minutes to reel in a 6 footer. I didn't get to fish as much as I wanted to this year. I usually fish for flounder and sole up in Squamish. I really enjoyed fishing sharks too. The funniest catch was when I caught a crab and as I reeled it out of the water, it let go of the hook. As it sunk back into the water, he kept pinching his claws at me. I think he was trying to say "SUCKER BYE BYE".

lol my boyfriend and I plus a bunch of friends just did a recent fishing trip to Derby Reach in Langley. It was more as a get-together rather than serious fishing. I put a post up in my blog (kimsgvrdadventures - link in my sig) about it :p

hehehe bull heads >,.< I use them as bait for sharks lol. Your poor friend broke his rod =( if I was him after a few tries, just sniped the line. That way I will still have a rod lol.

Where do you buy their rods and how much do they approximately cost?

they make mid range to top notch. I found a rod at wallmart for 40-50 dollars and the reels range from 80-500.

that... sounds expensive T-T
But if you love someone, money is of no concern, right?!

I think a mid range rod would suit my boyfriend the best. He only fishes leisurely.
Have you ever fished for salmon before Mune?

lol i tried to off shore in Squamish a few years back. Didn't get any but some fishers near by got some. I would have had a higher chance if I was on a boat, but I get motion sickness in open water =(
