Hotels/Accomodations

General questions and discussion about the convention

Postby CirqueCosplay17 » Wed Nov 30, 2011 11:45 am

I know that the closest hotel to the VCC is the Fairmont Pacific Rim: Would it be possible for the Anime Revolution Board of Directors to negotiate a con package/discount with the FPR?

Example: Anime Revolution Convention - Package includes 16-19 stay in any room of the con attendee's choice plus 50% any spa treatment for (insert X amount of fee here)
Be it the toss of a saber, the catch of a rifle, the blockage of colour from the flags during the final feature, or the graceful dancing through out the show, this is what makes the sport of the arts my anti-drug.

Good question. The answer is yes.

One of the many reasons we chose the VCC is that there are many hotels surrounding the venue. We are focused on providing a great long term convention in every aspect and your over all experience and comfort is a priority. We are currently in contact will continue to negotiate with a few of the establishments in order to work out some sort of package for the attendees.

That's awesome!!!! PS if you can work out something with Fairmont Pacific Rim, that'd be about 20 percent cooler :3

So I really really really REALLY don't want to sound like a nag but is there currently terms being discussed for a con package with any of the nearby hotels? :D

So how goes the hunt for a hotel bargain?

It goes ;) We actually had a wonderful meeting with the director of sales for a few hotels in downtown Vancouver yesterday. She sounds very accommodating and will be working hard to provide the best rates and services for AR attendees.
