Cosplay Parade

Discussion about, promotion for, and general discussion of events

Postby CirqueCosplay17 » Tue Mar 20, 2012 6:42 pm

Oooh how about this? Make the Cosplay contest one giant show where we have a prelude that introduces all the performers, have the novice group compete first, brief intermission song and dance, then the intermediate, intermission, advanced category performers, and then a finale?
Be it the toss of a saber, the catch of a rifle, the blockage of colour from the flags during the final feature, or the graceful dancing through out the show, this is what makes the sport of the arts my anti-drug.

Also there is that short period of time when the judges are making their decision I think...? I forgot what they usually do during those times... lol

Like mentioned above...if the group is out of the main walking areas and not blocking anything, people who don't like it can just ignore it, and people who like it can watch/join in peacefully.

This this this this. I couldn't have put it better myself.

This is a neat idea :'D :) it's also very original- I don't recall ever seeing one at any other convention! I love it already :)

I keep imagining a giant "snake" game made up of all the cosplayers and it kinda merges into a thought about a conga line

It'd be pretty cool though, to have a line of people walking around with banners indicating wherever is, rather than static signs. It'd be a lot of unnecessary work, but if it ever happened it would be pretty awesome.

Uh... I thought there wasn't going to be a parade, but more like an introduction of all the Cosplay contest competitors o.o

This is very unique! For some odd reason, this reminds me of those line dances at parties. ;)

Hmmmm......

Okay. When I say "Parade" I meant something like an actual route throughout the con.

However: What could be done is that just before the Cosplay Contest, all the competitors march on to some random song, we salute the crowd, the announcer goes "Ladies and Gentlemen let the Anime Revolution 2012 Cosplay Contest begin!" or something of that nature. Then, during awards, it'd be the same deal.
