Vancouver Cons summer 2012

Discussions About Everything Else - Including Feedback

Postby Elreca » Mon May 21, 2012 8:54 pm

So I've stepped away from the Con-life for a couple years, and was deciding to go to one this year. I'm usually at Anime Evolution, but apparently they're under new management now? And then I hear of AR and Cos & Effect. It's all a bit confusing and I want to hear of people's opinions of each and what you would recommend. Thanks!

Hi Elreca,

Thank you for your question!

There are certainly a lot of Vancouver anime conventions this year, and Anime Revolution is very excited to be among the lineups. Here's some information I've gathered that may help you in your conquest;

MiniComi - July 7 at the University of British Columbia (SUB Ballroom)
J-Fest (run by Anime Evolution) - July 14 at Douglas College in New Westminister, BC.
Anime Revolution - August 17-19 at the East Wing of the Vancouver Convention Centre.
Cos&Effect - August 24-26 at the University of British Columbia.

Every single event is going to tons of fun so if you're limited to only one convention good luck :s
If it were me, I'd go to ALL of them! :D

Best of Luck!

How about the Summer Festival? It always seems like a secret between my friends because no one ever talks about it... :)

The Summer Festival at SFU - July 21 at Simon Fraser University (Convocation Mall) in Burnaby, BC

Let's hope we don't get fog like last time... Although it was still pretty awesome!
