So, I'm assuming there is some overlap between people who are fans of J-Pop and K-Pop. So I decided to start a K-Pop thread.

PS: did anyone hear about the SMTown auditions in Vancouver? I'd totally go if I could sing...or dance...or look like I could.

My friends auditioned and it was quite an odd experience they said.. LOL

You could totally audition as a model and then go through extensive training to be a triple threat with dance, vocals and different languages

Hehehe! I'm YG biased to be honest. I would definitely go to the Big Bang concert if I could - I could wait for 2NE1 because I'm 100% sure they would tour in North America again when they debut here.

I also love B1A4. I just started listening to them and still learning their names, but their vids are really entertaining to watch compared to some others...*cough* 20 minute T-ara vids *cough*

Honestly, members of the YG Family are just good role models. But the many times that T.O.P. dyed his hair recently is intense o.o

B1A4 is the only kpop group that's taking my money actually I'd do 2NE1 too , but that'd mean so much catching up xD

i started out with liking DBSK and super junior but not so much now since theres a lottt of missing members and dbsk is... just isnt dbsk anymore =\

i dont have a favourite at the moment but i do like BEAST and 2NE1.
recently i fell in love with Ukiss- believe and teentop- to you comeback songs

but im not really following any new bands so... B1A4 is wayyy over my head haha
i know that my friends love this hot guy. but lets face it. ALL of them are probably hot XD

NGL, I think Korea's getting a TON more attention now mainly because they're HD on youtube...
Legit! There's so much good talent out there in all countries, they're just not utilizing youtube as well as they could be.

hahaha well suju has 13 members! they're able to hit more targets because of their variety XDD

Do you guys kareoke along Kingsway? There's A LOT of Korean places, and Mix2 has pretty updated songs, Korean & English.

Raku Raku, a Korean restaurant on Kingsway, used to play KPOP MVs on their TVs, but now the TVs are gone and it's gone from feeling like a teenage hangout to more like a date restaurant D:

Know any other places that play KPOP MVs?

There's also Aberdeen Food Court.. but other than that I can't think of anywhere else

i cant remember if they play MVs or just the music, but i do remeber them having a really big projector screen up..

it's this korean restaurant downtown called apgujung :3 the staff there is really nice
