I know what you mean. I remember forcing myself to watch it lol however, I don't regret because like what Senshomaru said, the story is pretty good. My boyfriend says that Madoka did to magical girls what Evangelion did to mecha anime <- MINDBLOW.

Never really did enjoy Evangelion. Maybe it was because I wasn't old enough to actually feel it back then. :/
Well, guess I'll just have to looks at some pixiv or piapro fanarts of Madoka, burn those images into my head, and then use these images to replace the ones in the anime.

Most old animes are the best to watch in their primes. I still remember watching Evangelion 10 years ago and amazed at how awesome it was! In that same time period, I also remember watching Akira and going "...meh." Oh man, I feel so old ;_;

..... I liked Akira. When I was 8. Which is slightly disturbing now that I think about it. e__e

I like mecha anime but while Evangelion was good, it wasn't quite my cup of tea. :|

Of course, this depends on your preference. I went to UBC for a Keiko Takemiya conference and they had an analyst from Kyoto University talk about the life cycle of anime. She states that the average life cycle of an anime is 7 years and then people will tend to forget about it and/or move on to new anime. Of course, this is different for mainstream anime or anime of huge appeal (like the Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi) which tend to have larger life cycle because of their fan base.

Which is why I state that animes are usually best in their primes because at the time they are released, they are targeting the new market, when older anime are targeting the market of their times.

It's not really, if you think about it. Fate stay night is no where near as popular as Kami sama dolls

It is a long time, but this is a generic study on all anime which include all the animes with weaker and stronger appeals.

People die if they are killed.
I can not resist saying that.

Well, Naruto, Bleach, and One piece are still the most popular of them all.

Haha... right now I am super obsessed with a manga called "Switch Girl" - for all you girls, the main guy is pretty cute :) Don't worry, it's rated T for Teen :D

Ohhh... I was just reading that... sometime last month...
It's actually quite decent, actually.

But the the amusement begins to fade off into the distance.....

ANYHOW:
Alive!
It's a one-shot.
And it's NSFW at parts.
