Now that the venue is out, it's time for a new logo design!
Got an awesome, professional, slick, and cool idea for AR's logo? Send it to us!

If you wish to participate, the deadline is September 9, 2011 @ midnight Pacific Standard Time.

Though I'm not in charge of this contest but I believe it is ok to zip all components and send to us =)

Personally, I think that this Logo Contest was done way too early and was way too short. First of all, you started this on September 1st, yet school in most cases started on the 2nd, meaning people like me, or many other students, didn't really have much time to dedicate to such a project. Also, the forum itself only has 150 members, meaning there is a fairly limited amount who have access to things such as Adobe Photoshop, and even fewer who are able to/want to make a logo at the moment.

In conclusion, I think a new Logo contest should be re-done around December atleast, once we gain a larger forum crowd. This will allow for more potential for a great logo. Just keep the current entries for the contest and allow those who did send one in to send in another as well. Next time you should also give more than 1 week.

Hi Gavin,

Thanks for the input. The contest was sort of unofficially running for maybe about a month now. We just began putting a deadline on it because we needed an official logo to move ahead with the business end of things. Although I'd like to run it longer, it would push our agenda and deadlines too far back.

Having said this, there will likely still be the availability for a mascot contest. This way, you can still put your input into our logo and we can still continue with business.

I don't think someone should be sour about it JUST BECAUSE they missed their own opportunity at it. There's always others, not JUST within this convention. It's unfair to the person who got chosen, who, I THINK, did a pretty epic job. ; w ; '''bbb I mean, I missed a chance, too, because of university, but that's not to say that I'm pissed off about it. It's an insult to the winner... ; ____ ; '''

And, I'll try to work on badge designs to be looked over. You guys can decide whether to use them or not. >w<;;
