And also, is it okay if you can like, let's say, have an audience participate, like when a song has a happy rhythm, can you pull out a "random" person from the audience and dance with them for a little bit?

I don't see why you can't have someone playing for you. You may have to provide your own instrument though.

And for the time you're on stage, it's your show. Go nuts.

Usually with piano versions, you're asked to bring in the instrumental itself, or you play the piano yourself. If I remember correctly, the rules stated that you must go on the stage alone. However, I might be wrong, so take my advice with a grain of salt. ; u ; bbb

Something to note here: the Vocaloid community is blessed to have two amazing pianists who upload MP3s of their piano renditions: Koma'n and TOPPO. You will find many of these instrumentals on YouTube, as well as their home site, NicoNicoDouga. ; u ; bb If you need help finding an off vocal version of an instrumental for Vocaloid songs, let me know, because I have an account on NND and I usually go there to find stuff anyway. ; u ; bbb

As for audience participation... it kinda HAS to be there... That's one of the things the judges will be marking you on. (Don't be like me who did NOT know of this until the day of the audition and had NOTHING to prepare for. OTL (See me lugging from one side of the stage to the other... LOOOL))

Aelita dear, you forgot the godly Marasy and the all too awesome maou.

If you seriously have never heard of Marasy, I suggest you to literally ditch everything you're doing right now and go listen to his arrangements. They make you crawl to a corner and cry for how great that guy can make the songs sound and how unskilled you are whether if you passed ARCT exams (my case) with flying colors or not.
He also did the scissorhands arrangement featuring kettaro.

And his arrangements are moderately hard to play; I wouldn't suggest even trying to learn it if you haven't passed lvl 9 piano yet.
