Video Girl Ai.

It does feel dated since it takes place late '80s/early '90s, but it's a sweet and heartbreaking "Pinocchio"-like little tale of boy-meets-virtual-girl. It blends sci-fi, fantasy, drama, comedy, and of course high-school romance. And it's very interesting to see things from the guy's perspective for once.

Plus the anime was dubbed here in Vancouver a long time ago, so yeah.

I liked Bride of the Water God for a while...And then the plot just didn't keep with me... As for Red Soul, I started to read it, got past the first five chapters, and then dropped it. (I swear I remember manga/manhwa/manhua by the cover art seeing how I'm literally googling each series up to see whether I read it or not)

I read Video Girl Ai during that time period a few years back (4? 5?) when I was obsessed with Tragedy and Angst. I dropped it when it was somewhere really close to the ending. It was just.... I just felt nothing for it after reading and watching Saikano.
Saikano was the most depressing piece of work in the history of everything that I've read. Haven't felt sad for any manga/anime/manhwa/manhua ever since that series. (No, not even CLANNAD, AIR, KANON. Then again, they were not my cup of tea. I felt nothing at all.)

And again, I haven't liked anything with the main theme as romance for the past three years... Other than those comedies that's literally the "laugh-until-your-stomach-explodes-and-you-drop-dead" kind. Even though it's a one time thing...

..... HIKIKOMORI! Oh God, Welcome to the NHK was a classic.
Defense Devil was at the top of my chart until it hit around chapter 90 something... And I raged at the ending ("Let's go defend (spoiler word here)!" Yeah, just end the whole series with that. Really? I DEMAND A SEQUAL OR I SHALL REMAIN UNSATISFIED.)
A Bad Boy Drink Tea... I totally knew it was Ocha Nigosu-- /shot
Uhh... How to say this... I may or may not have dropped this due to the art (I know I dropped Cheeky Angel because of that) but I DO recall reading the really, really, really beginning few chapters of it.

I actually had to search up the chinese name because that plot sounded so familiar. Turns out I read my little cousin's copy just last Spring when I went to China :'D (He's got all 13 released this far while I'm just waiting for the anime adaption of it happening this April)
