Good mangas with art that turned you away at first

Boku X Inu SS or was it the other way around LOL. (That whole m*****f***ing series just rewinded half way through. I'm over with it.)
And Danshi Kokousei no Nichijou (Oh God this is hilarious. It's downright laugh until your guts hurt with tears of blood streaming down your eyes hilarious.)

i thought it was a little too plain and simple, but i actually fell in love with the style after the first volume
[also, got into some other simple styled mangas after that too like karakuri ---- (forgot the title ^ ^""")]
and the story/plot to me is just amazing. in the more recent volumes, i cried a lot while reading them haha

Yep, it does have an anime. But I'm not sure if I watched it.. I heard it was good though (o/

Kimi Ni Todoke and Nana. At first i thought the art wasn't that great but when I started reading Kimi Ni todoke, I was hooked
And as for Nana, I heard from a friend that it was a good manga so I didn't really care much about the artwork.

CLAMP's characters are pretty funky in proportion sometimes... but it's just their style. As people keep telling me P:
